Forest Foliage and Tactile Textures
At a time when rain and mud meant the forest was inaccessible to wheelchair, crutches and mobility scooter, a virtual communing with the forest took place. A manifestation of forest in ceramic form emerged through a channelling of foliage, textures, structure and form. Drawing on imagery from photographs taken in earlier forest explorations and observations made during tentative forays into forest borders, a new version of the forest was moulded. The sensory immersion and tactility of the clay brought the coolness and materials of the forest floor closer and allowed a creative forest-bathing experience to take place; offering an alternative way to access the forest.

Twist & Turn
Twisting clay forms that emulate the shapes found in the forest understory from winding tree roots, to worn rock formations and unfurling fungi, to flowing rivulets of water.
